Just... insane, *sigh* - Americans

Somehow, I think the United States is about the only place in the world where the following story can take place:

So there I was, quietly asleep in my bed. It was either very late - or very early - and the whole city was asleep. Everyone, except the few intelligent youngsters who believed it such a great idea to take their car in the middle of the night, turn up the volume on the stereo to absurd levels, and then do a trip around the block...

Just... insane, *sigh* - Americans, Lingo

American coins make no sense. At all. I was at Wal-Mart's today (yeah, I am getting Americanized), and they wanted to charge me 16 dollars and 9 cents for a Dave Matthews Band CD. Fine, I thought, and digged up a 20 dollar bill. Then, I figured I might as well give the cashier some of the coin collection in my wallet, if only to prevent further adding to it.

Chaos ensued.
